Proudly Made in America, this plush mattress is covered in a luxurious stretch knit fabric made from Bamboo fibers. The bamboo yarn in our ticking is made from 100% natural bamboo pulp fiber. These are extremely soft fibers that are naturally anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and are non-allergenic. This makes it an excellent sleep surface for allergy sufferers. Bamboo fibers have excellent ventilation and moisture absorption qualities, so it stays cool, dry and fresh for the life of the mattress. Silk and Wool fibers are also featured in the quilt which will naturally assist you with sleep temperature regulation and sleep moisture. I was very excited when purchasing this mattress because it seemed extremely comfortable when I tried it at the show room. I was debating between this mattress and the pillow top however the pillow top seemed as it would be too soft so I decided to go with this mattress. When I received it, I was so upset because it felt SO firm!!!! I decided to give it some time being that it was new and it had to be broken in. After the first night, i woke up with back pain. It is now 5 months later and I still continue to wake up with aches and pains. I'm sad to say that this was not a good purchase. I should have spent the extra money and went with a better mattress. :(

Mattress comes much firmer than in the store model. If you are used to a softer mattress I wouldn't recommend this one. Also it seems like it would need to be broken in a lot to even be considered decent.

We have the mattress for about 7 months now. It does not hold to its shape, ours has a big dent on each side causing an uncomfortable sleep. The middle of it is the only part that does not hurt my back and still offers some form of comfort. I wouldnt recommend this product, the price definately doesnt hold up to its quality.

After a week of sleeping on this mattress we will be exchanging for a Serta. The bed was much firmer then the one in the show room. The box spring and mattress squeak a lot. To be fair Sleepy's would replace any pieces that are making noises. It just didn't make us feel comfortable with the build quality. Overall the mattress we received is nothing like the one we tested. We haven't had a good nights sleep on this bed in the week we have used it. We're glad Sleepy's has a 14 day guarantee. I would hate to have to sleep on this mattress for the next decade.

It is great for all sleepers because it morphs to your body but is also firm. My boyfriend is a side sleeper and say's it is amazing, and i sleep on my back or stomach it depends and since we have purchased this bed we havent selpt better. every time my friends come over and sit on my bed they lay down and say "this bed is amazing." everyone loves it!!! I've even convinced people to get another bed of there own. this was my boyfriend and mine vallentine's gift to eachother and it was the best money we even spent. small con is the bed was firmer when we first got it and it has softened up a bit since then but it is not as soft as the one on display at the store but it is still extremely comfortable.

Never even heard of carolina brand matresses until i walked into sleepys. was very inpressed with my first test of them. especially over all the other more expensive and commonly purchased brands.This mattress is exactly what we needed. Just the right amount of comfort and support. Very pleased.

Looked for a new queen sized mattress to replace our original one in the master bedroom. So many changes since we bought the old one.
This mattress is very soft to touch and comfortable. Thicker so we needed the low profile box spring.
We are very comfortable and would recommend this mattress as a good value. Hope it lasts as long as the old one!

As echoed by other reviews in here, the mattress was much firmer than I had expected and from how the display bed was in the store. Coming from a good quality waterbed for the past 15 years (!) I was looking for a relatively soft bed, but also one that would be of good quality so it would last. (I found the whole bed shopping gig very stressful - which one to pick and the cost for something decent!). My first night on this mattress was awful and I woke up pretty sore. So I ran to the store and bought a 1" memory foam topper and that, combined with a good quality matress cover (quilted) seemed to help a lot - but then the next night I added even more cushion with a regular egg crate type foam topper (cheap) and that was enough to make the bed comfortable. So its been about a month now and I've noticed the bed beginning to give a little so I'm sure its just a matter of getting used to a new bed, breaking it in a bit, and also adding some cushion. Everyone told me to stay away from the pillow top mattresses because they mold/dent after some years - so this way I created my own pillow top and the bed is actually very comfortable - - extremely well made, and I'm sure I wont have to be bed shopping for some 15+ years which is great!

The salesman was very helpful finding a mattress and boxspring that not only fit my budget was a top quality mattress. I knew as soon as I tested it in the store, he was right. So I bought it. My husband and I prefer completely different type bedding. He prefers a very soft, plush mattress while I prefer a firmer, supportive mattress. We had completely opposite opinions on the beds we tried...until we laid on the Carolina Radiant Mattress. It was a perfect blend for both of us. When you lay on the mattress, you instantly feel the softness of the gel...but at the same time you get a firm support to your body too...but not in a stiff, uncomfortable way.
It was perfect. It was the only mattress, other than a mattress that was TWICE as much in price, that we both agreed that we liked. My husband loved the softness of it...and I loved that it still felt supportive to me. This is especially important since i am a side sleeper, and don't want to sink into the mattress.
Lastly...the gel is supposed to keep it a bit cooler than a typical memory foam mattress. i would agree. When I get into the bed, it has a very nice coolness to it.
I would highly recommend this mattress to a couple with differing preferences in regards to mattress types.
It was perfect. It was the only mattress, other than a mattress that was TWICE as much in price, that we both agreed that we liked.
