This luxury firm euro pillow top sleep set features a 14.75 gauge twice tempered IntelliCoil unit with a 651x2 coil density for the ultimate comfort and support. The 5 turn outer coil cradles and conforms to your every curve, while the 7 turn inner coil provides deep down, unsurpassed support. This model contains our new Variable Response Technology (VRT) High Density Poly Foam, the next generation in pressure relief that offers variable ILD zones without the use of gluing or piecing. The border features luxurious carriage tufting and 8 vertical, warranted handles for maximum convenience.

I walked in to the store looking specifically for a king sized firm eurotop (I needed to upgrade from my 6 year old cheapo queen that I had purchased a few months after I separated from the military). There were only a handful in the store, but this one was a stand out. I've had a lot of trouble sleeping on my last mattress, but I get a solid sleep on the Stearns and Foster Russell Square without tossing or turning. Due to the number of coils and the quality of craftmanship, it is a heavier mattress; so changing sheets can be a bit of work on the lower back, but worth the effort.
An extremely firm mattress that I would recommend for back and stomach sleepers (not so much for side sleepers).

I did not expect a highly supportive mattress to be so cushy comfortable. I figured you had to feel like you were sleeping on concrete to get the support needed. Not so! This is a wonderful mattress for me. I have fibromyalgia and reactive arthritis which means that I have a lot of pain and am very sensitive to pressure points. This mattress with both the support and the cushy foam on top has eliminated many if not all of the pressure pain that usually wakes me up several times if not more each night. I am sleeping longer at a time and not waking up with pain! For me, that is a tremendous success!

This matress is a perfect compromise between firm support and a plush top. My wife gets a soft matress and I get the support I need for a good night's sleep. The matress is costly but well worth it for us!

This bed is in our guest room. When my nieces stay the week with us they say, " I feel like a princess in this bed!"...my daughter said, "I am a princess in this bed and um...Mom you did not tuck the edge of the sheet in right because I can feel it." It might not have been a pea, but my 16 year old knows what she likes and this is "her" bed now!

My husband and I purchased this mattress to replace a 8 year old Simmons Beautyrest which was starting to cave in the middle. My husband is 6'4" (205lbs) and I'm 5'0" (130lbs) so there was quite a debate about firm vs softer mattress. We decided on the Stearns & Foster pillowtop because in the store it seemed to be firm (for my hubby) but with a nice pillowtop which gave me the comfort feeling of confirming to my body.
When we received the first mattress, we were extremely disappointed - it felt like sleeping on a concrete floor. The foam of the pillow top did not "confirm to my body" and I had the worst sleep of my life and awoke with major back pains. After a couple of nights trying to sleep on the mattress, I boycotted and slept in the guest bedroom. When we went back to Sleepy's to inquire the sales rep said that the mattress should feel exactly like the store model, so they brought a replacement mattress the next day. The second mattress is slightly better, but still much too firm for my liking and I'm struggling to get comfortable.
We will be replacing it with another mattress using Sleepy's 21 day exchange policy.

We purchased this mattress to replace a 33 year old S&F. It is very comfortable though it took some getting used to the height of the new generation of mattresses (as well as the need for plenty of hardwood support under the boxspring).

When we had to replace our old Posturepedic mattress (after 10 years), we pretty much felt we would go with the same model. When we came to Sleepy's, we were greeted pleasantly and asked what we were looking for. After greeting us and introducing us to the computer-modeled recommendation information, the sales associated directed us to several mattresses to try out. We found the Stearns and Foster model to be even more comfortable and suited to our sleeping habits. What made the whole experience even more delightful was finding out we could get it the next day! Now, after having slept on it for several weeks, we know we made the right decision. A good night's sleep, which had eluded us for so long, is now something we can count on. This mattress isn't for everyone but, for us, it's the perfect fit!

My husband and I both love sleeping on this mattress! We've had it now for almost a month and find it extremely comfortable. It has a good balance of softness and firmness, which is what we were looking for in a new mattress. One thing worth noting is that we find that it feels firmer on our platform bed without a box spring than it did in the showroom with a box spring. The salesperson told us it would be the same, and it's not quite. It's not so firm that it bothers us in any way, but we might have gone for a slightly less firm version had we known.

This is definely a great buy. I ended up purchasing a differeny box spring because I needed to minimize the amount of furniture in my bedroom by getting drawers inside the box spring. The bed gives just the right amount of firmness and softness. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and recommend it to anyone else.
