I was surprised by how thin the mattress was (about 5 inches + the box spring). It was very firm for the thickness. The only confusion was the mattress thickness.

Before I purchased the sertapedic Kittery plush mattress I tossed and turned all night. The inner spring mattress I had for about 10 years was firm and comfortable when I bought it, but after about 7 years it seemed the springs moved around and I couldn't find a comfortable position anymore. I thought about buying other brands of mattresses but the cost was outrageous. Serta has always been a brand I've trusted and the quality and value remain consistant. I love waking up in the morning with no aches and pains and completely rested and refreshed. Thank you Serta

We recently purchased this mattress for my daughter for her sixth birthday and before making the purchase I had read the reviews on the bed, many of which were good, but some that stated the bed was too firm. Upon receiving the mattress I realized that the mattress is really firm, but I love it, as does my daughter. It is extremely comfortably and durable. I foresee her having this mattress until she leaves for college!! She was very excited to sleep in it her first night and I like it so much that I have considered buying the same mattress for my husband and I in a king size. I like it so much better than our pillow top mattress and for those that have back problems this mattress will do wonders.

This mattress was like a rock. I barely sank when I sat on it (and I"m not skinny, either). It looked nice, but there was no squish whatsoever. It was equivalent to laying a comforter on a wood floor. DO NOT BUY.

This mattress is great if you suffer from back pains. It was a bit firmer than expected but every morning I wake up with my back feeling less stiff than the day before. It definitely worth it for the price, and offers a great night's sleep.

I bought this mattress for my platform bed. I already had a foam topper so I wasn't too concerned with softness and was basically looking for something firm. This mattress so far has met that very well. It's definitely a firm mattress so if that's not your cup of tea than I'd go for something else or definitely buy a foam topper with it. Overall I'm happy with the Mattress, it was a good price, and is supportive :) Haven't had any quality issues.
