I had injuried my back many years ago and had suffered for years with severe back and leg pain that would start as soon as I would lie down to sleep on our standard spring mattress. I usually ended up spending 4 to 5 nights a week on the floor to relieve the pain. When I decided against repeat back surgery, my spouse and I decide to look for a really good but hard mattress. We settled on the Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody. The Rhapsody mattress has been a godsend. The first night the bed arrived we were afraid it might be too firm to sleep comfortably. We had nothing to fear. Within a few minutes we were comfortable asleep. We slept for 12 full hours in heavenly comfort; a feat unheard of for me. Every night since has been as comfortable and as pleasurable. I wake up pain free in the AM, rested and so very, very happy with my choice of this mattress. The Tempur-pedic material although firm really does comform comfortably to your body and your body needs.

I loved my old pillow top for its softness. But never got up feeling quite refreshed.
On the Rhapsody-tempur-Pedic, gettig up is no problem. The mattress does not call you back for those 'few more minutes of rest' because you are fully rested already!!
The firmness had put me off initially but spending a few nights on it has convinced me that this is the best mattress to give you the best sleep you can get.
Money well-spent!

I have a couple of herniated disks in my back, and was constantly waking up in pain every morning, on my old mattress. I was told to try a memory foam bed and figured, why not, couldn't hurt any worse than what I've got. It took a few nights for my back to adjust to a new mattress, but once it did, I don't wake up in pain anymore! This mattress is so comfy, I'm asleep almost immediately! I just wish I had bought it years ago!

After dealing with a dip in the middle of my old (only 7 years old) mattress and countless conversations with my wife about not sleeping well, waking up sore, etc., I decided to stop by the local Sleepy's "just to look around". My son has the Cloud and I was fully expecting that to be my favorite mattress at the store. I was wrong. While the cloud is softer, it doesn't melt and conform like the Rhapsody bed does. It didn't take long lying on the bed for my wife and I to decide to buy. The only problem I had was with the delivery. When it arrived at my house, I was informed that they wouldn't be able to get it upstairs and into the bedroom because it was frozen and needed to thaw or get to room temp. so they could bend it and get it upstairs. They couldn't schedule for later in the day, so I had to wait till the following day. A few scuffs on the ceiling and walls and it was installed. We opted for the Ergo Frame, and thought it would get minimal use, but liked the option of adjustability to be there. We use the feature every night! I have never slept so soundly or awoke so rested. Couldn't be happier. I also went back and bought a Rhapsody Pillow as my previous pillow just didn't work right with the Tempur Bed.

I was sufffering from chronic back pain and was told that this would be the best mattress. My husband and i picked this model and hoped it was the answer to my bad back. after sleeping ( or not sleeping ) for one month, i believe that this mattress is definitely not worth the price. It was too expensive and i want to return it. not only was the mattress expensive but we also needed to purchase the support for the frame and the cover for the mattress. very disappointed!

Just not worth the money-

My husband and I just don't think this was worth the money- My husband has back problems and this just made them worse- He sleeps on the the lazy boy more then in the bed! It has taken me several weeks to get a good nights sleep. MY main complaint is the bed really retains your body heat- We will be selling this and going back to a spring coil bed- Just really make 100% sure this is for you!

After going through at least 3 spring mattresses in our marriage, it was time for a new one. I've heard from friends that have a Sleep Number bed and they like it a lot. I searched the reviews online and saw that Tempur was the top rated. My brother in law had his own mattress store and I recall him saying that he had a lot of customers come in that were getting rid of their Sleep Number bed. He called them glorified air mattressess. We went to our local Sleepy's and tried out the Tempur Pedic beds, while there we came across a couple who both had bad backs and felt that the Tempur helped them out. We liked the Rhapsody the best and went with it. My wife and I both love the bed and have no regrets in spending the money on it. We got the Ergo adjustable one and we are so happy that we got that as well. It's perfect for lying in bed and watching a little TV before going to sleep. I highly recommend you getting both. It's pricey but absolutely worth it.

Since receiving my new Tempur-Pedic bed I have had such great sleep, I can't believe the difference a new bed makes. I have always been the type of person that likes to stay up late, but find that I am now making excuses to get into bed earlier in the evening so I can enjoy the comfort of my new Tempur-Pedic. I am always happy when I find that I have made a good investment.

We waited a long time before we made our second Tempur-Pedic purchase and we knew we would go back to Sleepy's when the time was right. The service you receive at the store is excellent and the sales staff is very knowledgable. The king size Rhapsody that we purchased is one of the most comfortable beds my husband and I have slept in, even our three boxers fight for space on the bed (kind of why we got a king size...). I would recommend this bed and Sleepy's to anyone looking to purchase bedding any time in the future.

I purchased this bed a little over a month ago with the Prima wireless adjustable bed base and I must say I have never slept better! I have neck and back issues in addition to Rheumatoid Arthritis so I was so used to tossing and turning to try and get comfortable, waking up numerous times a night, and waking up exhausted, stiff, and achy. That has all changed; I wake up in the same position I go to sleep, feel well rested, and the aches, pains, and stiffness are almost completely gone (definitely the additional pain/stiffness that was caused by my old mattress and not my RA). I don't think that is just due to the bed, I think the combination of the bed with the adjustable base is the magic ticket; it allows the sleeper to adjust the head and legs to a level that takes the pressure off your lower back and neck, and allows better blood flow in your legs. The bed itself conforms nicely to your body to offer support, especially in the sensitive lower back area, without feeling confining or like you're molded in and can't move if you want to. I like to switch from my back to my side and I can do that without any resistance from the bed. I keep my bedroom very cool so when I first get into bed it feels very firm; this changes very quickly as the heat from my body softens it and allows it to form to my body…I'm talking less than a minute here, not a long time at all. Prior to buying this mattress I had bought a gel foam mattress topper to see if I would like the feel. I did, but it was more confining and despite it claiming to keep your body heat away from your body, I would wake up every night very warm; this does not happen with my new bed. I have never felt the least bit hot from the bed, in fact it seems to keep the coolness of the room in (I don't know how it will be in the summer but I am normally a very hot sleeper year round).
I can't speak as to how the bed holds up long term, but it is already worth the investment over a regular mattress in the quality of sleep I am getting and the lack of pain upon wakening! I would highly recommend this bed (with the adjustable base) and I only hope that it maintains it's quality; although it does come with a 25 year warranty so they must be pretty certain it will hold up. As for those concerned about the 'smell' that the bed has, it did have a slight odor for the first week or so but it dissipated quickly.
Just an added note, I bought the rather pricey waterproof mattress protector they recommended when I purchased the bed and it was a very wise investment. It is not the least bit noisy or plastic feeling but it works very well as I found out this morning when I was lounging in the bed on the computer and spilled a large amount of coffee…it went through my sheet onto the cover but it did not leak through to the top of the bed at all. The coffee rinsed off the protector without staining it before I even got it into the wash…definitely a good thing to protect your investment!

Been looking at buying a termpur pedic for a long time after hearing all the great reviews. I have mild back issues and heard this could be a possible fix. My uncle purchased one who has severe back issues and said it is well worth the money. I tested out all of the firmness of each bed and purchased the rhapsody mid firm with the cordless remote. I have had it for over a month now and love it. They also offer the 4 years no interest payments too.

What can I say.... This is our second Tempur-Pedic and they just keep getting better! Sleepy's made it easy to shop, buy and set up the delivery. From the time we walked into to the day it was delivered and set up, NO problems! Now my 8 y/o wants to get his new bed!
